Introduction to Khavaran Remote Sensing Laboratory (KRSLab)

KRSLab is funded and equipped by Khavaran Institute of Higher-education (KHI). The research programs in this Lab is focused on extracting useful information from satellite images. In this regards, the satellite images undergo some preprocessing procedures in order to remove any possible uncertainties and noises. The long term plan of this Lab is to receive and process every images from every platform passing over the space of the region.

KRSLab is an active laboratory that continuously conduct researches on either ordered issues or on the enhancing the quality of available satellite products. Different senior researchers and graduate students are continuously working on extraction of decent and applicable information from variety of mages acquired by different sensors on board of different platforms. Most of these researches are being published in well-known journals. However, there are some researches which belong to private investors and consequently cannot be published publically.

The researches in KRSLab, consists of some laboratory work as well as some field work mostly at the time of satellite overpass. However, the quality of products is assured and the users are free to conduct a test before purchasing them. The KRSLab will not sell the technology and science used in these products unless a separate contract of research is signed between KRSLab and investors.
